Sony Xperia Tablet Z: Kitchen Edition now available! (Photo Unboxing)

by Kathleen 09/11/2013

If the mention of “Giada De Laurentiis” gets you excited, we’ve got something special for you.

Today, we’re releasing an exclusive edition of the Xperia Tablet Z just for the kitchen. Already a water resistant device, it made sense to use the Xperia Tablet Z in a place where spills, splatters, and sticky hands abound.

Hence, the Kitchen Edition was born! Catering to kitchen pros and aspiring chefs, we added a suite of accessories and applications to make cooking simpler and more convenient.

One of the accessories we’re most excited about is the iGrill® from iDevices, an app-enabled \ Bluetooth® meat thermometer that allows chefs to monitor food from up to 200 feet away. The iGrill will alert you when the food is ready via the Xperia Tablet Z.

A lightweight, foldable Tablet stand and 260 preloaded recipes provided by Saveur are also included, and the pre-loaded apps offer recipe collections, shopping list organizers, time-saving cooking tips, and more. For detailed info on the apps, click here.

We’ve unboxed the Xperia Tablet Z: Kitchen Edition to give you a close up look of the device and its added features. Check out the photos below. As a heads up, it’s available now on store.sony.com.

Very interesting, think that waterproof would be a plus for those of us who take our tablets and pads out camping with us

Most definitely! Our Xperia Tablet Z (without all the cooking apps and accessories) is also water resistant. Thanks for reading, Maggie!
