#TechieandIKnowIt because i’ve owened and taken apart every playstation 1,2,and 3 just because i had to know for myself what chipsets and cooling systems were being used for each console. When my 60gb ps3 croaked instead of sending it in for fixing, lol i bought another ps3 so i could take the 60gb apart. It was cool to see how the processor was liquid cooled in the 60gb ps3 oh and I kept the backwards compatibility chip before the update, I wanted to keep it to use in another ps3 but I failed *$#@*&^.

I am techie because I know how to hook up various devices that normally would not go together. My friends and co-workers always ask me to trouble shoot their computers. Just yesterday I had to help someone take their memory card out of a wrong memory card port. I always talk about and use the latest greatest in tech. I love testing new devices out. I can find the bugs in any new device or software. My whole life is all about technology. My favorite podcasts comes from TWiT.

I’m a techie and I know it because I always have the latest and greatest products and my friends and family always come to me for advice when they are looking at purchasing new tech equipment. I am a brand snob too and you will only see SONY products from phones, tvs, PS3, etc in my house! My first walkman as a child was even a SONY and since then have stayed loyal to the brand.

The fact that Ive owned every gaming console, have a device out of each genre, can manually build a computer, talk about tech, introduce tech to people and work selling phones makes me a techie. I don’t think u can get any more technical than that.

I provide most of the support for computers when it come to friends and family as well. I love SONY products very much. Sony is always at the top of my list for tech and will continue to be. I am writing this from my VAIO right now and I will be a SONY tech junkie for life. Thank you for everything SONY!

    Why am I a Techie?

Who am I? I’m currently a student working toward a degree in Computer Engineering. My dream job would be managing a team that designs, tests, and improves technology.

What defines me as a techie?
My love for electronics and desire to work on them. Many times I have been called to fix computers from viruses, set up a networks, install hardware etc. What’s a headache to others, is a puzzle that I get to solve :D

I am a Techie because when I fix comuters, network, or other electronic stuff for family and friends they ask me “well what was wrong with it” so I proceed to tell them the best I can. Then they get that glossy look in their eyes, fade away and start to lose me…. so anyway thanks for fixing my computer, cup of tea?

I am a Techie because I am constantly looking up the latest tech out there. When it comes to many activities in daily life, I’d rather take down notes by typing them on my computer instead of writing them down, read an ebook with my Sony Reader instead of a physical copy, find comfort that many of my devices can do similar things yet assist me in many different ways (VAIO for work [and school], PS3 and Vita for play, and my Reader for school). I am constantly trying to discover new ways to associate technology to every day tasks, and constantly keep all my devices up to date (by either software updates, or simply upgrading to a newer model of a device). I believe this is what makes me a Techie! Techies Day shall be a day I now celebrate!
