Announcing New VAIO Computer Line Up Including An Ultrabook

by Gina 06/04/2012

This morning Sony announced their new line up of ┬áVAIO computers including our first-ever ultrabook (VAIO T series). But the news didn’t stop there with new designs and updates for the VAIO S along with some spiffy new features in the VAIO E and VAIO Z series laptops. And for all-in-one desktop fans, you’ll be very interested in seeing what’s inside the new VAIO L computer. I could go on and on but better to show you in SGNL’s latest video. Check it out. Which new computer is your favorite?

Lousy presentation for Sony… where is the engineer from last time? Or product manager who reveals the spirit of the latest line? Why are you pretending that the IPS is a new thing on the S15, when it’s the same one on the SE? Why not more IPS panels across the line? Where’s the Akio Morita ideal, charisma, and sensitivity?

The intercut press release images that disrupt the presentation are lower res than the video, and 2 guys just stand there doing nothing but talk. Why don’t you pick them up and turn them over, showing more details? they look like the company’s gonna make them pay if they bruise the precious specimens. In the end they refer people to the website, because the presentation wasn’t very useful on its own.

The guy “from the Sony VAIO team” doesn’t seem to know that the VAIO P was ever created, and its hark back to the VAIO P. He thinks the new E is inspired by the tablets. Not a very professional spokesperson, not knowing your own stuff.

Hey Guest, I can see where there was confusion. First off, you really know your VAIOs :)! Though the P did have a folding design, our point was to share something current related to the same design. Some of the magazine style shaping (thinner lid than the P, etc.) is some of the design inspiration taken from the tablet (overall shape). But you are right in the folding style and I am so glad you called it out. We love to hear from fans like yourself. You are truly a VAIO guru to know that trivia. thanks for posting!
