SEN and SGNL Go Global with New App Additions [Video]

by Reena 02/23/2012

One of our goals at Sony is to provide the means to access the best content out there. Whether it’s a BRAVIA® TV with built in Wi-Fi®, Blu-ray Disc™ players with Internet streaming, or adding new apps to the Sony Entertainment Network, we want to maximize your access to your favorite movies and shows.

Recently, we added a couple international apps to the Sony Entertainment Network: TerraTV and El Gourmet.

Terra TV, part of the Spain based company Terra Networks, is the largest Latin American online media company and the 31st most popular internet destination in the world. Terra TV boasts the very best entertainment, news and sports, accessed by the 70 million people who visit every month.

Argentina’s El Gourmet is more than just a cooking channel; it is an experience. With original content for those who know how to enjoy the pleasures of life, offers 24 hours of uninterrupted programming for experts in fine living.

We’ve also added TerraTV and El Gourmet to our Blu-ray Disc players and Blu-ray Home Theater systems.

More apps will be added soon too so keep checking back for the latest news!

But that’s not all! Not only are we bringing you content from all over the world, we’re also producing new content for you. Allow me to introduce SGNL en Español!

In the same spirit, SGNL by Sony — a close-up look at Sony’s gadgets, games, movies and music– debuted SGNL en Español at CES 2012 in Las Vegas. Check out the video below and view more SGNL en Español videos on SGNL’s YouTube Channel.

I’d love, love, love to see at least one South Asia-specific content channel. Currently I’m looking into getting a Roku box so I can get Mela on my TV ( With a TV and game consoles that are all “smart” devices, app-enabled, I’d much rather subscribe to the content from my existing hardware, instead of getting a dedicated device.
