A new member of the Sony Family was announced this week with the acquisition of Convergent Media Systems, a video management solutions company that reaches more than one million people in arenas, theaters, malls, airports and outdoors. More specifically, Convergent is an established expert in digital signage and content distribution systems and will be integrated as a subsidiary of Sony Electronics’ broadcast and professional products business.
Convergent has been an instrumental partner with Sony for years and will continue to be an integral part of Sony’s position in 4K digital cinema system installations, out-of-home content distribution, professional displays and digital signage, remote monitoring and system diagnostics.
From installation and integration to content creation and distribution, the Convergent acquisition will help Sony become a one-stop source when businesses are looking for ways to deliver their message.
