As part of our series on how to personalize the Sony gifts you give this season I got some insight into how easy it is to burn a DVD so you can get the precious memories off your camcorder or computer and into the hands of your loved ones. Certain Sony Handycams let you press a button to burn your video onto a DVD by connecting the camera to your computer. Some also come with Picture Motion Browser software that helps you edit your video. For those that want a more polished presentation, it even helps you do a highlight reel which selects portions of the video and puts them together to create a video montage. You can even add music to make it a more professional looking DVD.
For anyone who doesn’t want to deal with any computer interface you can get a DVD burner. In the video below Sony Style’s Ranson is back to explain how to use the Sony VRDMC5 DVDirect DVD Recorder. With it you can take the high quality AVCHD footage filmed on your Sony Handycam and record it onto a DVD that is playable in most home DVD players and Blu-ray Disc™ players.
