I’m here at Fashion Week Spring 2010 in New York’s Bryant Park where the world will get a first glimpse at the clothing trends for the upcoming spring season. You may be asking what Sony is doing at Fashion Week. The truth is that tech gadgets are increasingly becoming fashion statements and people want them to reflect their own personal style. And VAIO and Sony Style are getting in on the fashion action.
We’ve outlined the HauteLook Fashion Look Lounge with our VAIO Signature Collection available exclusively through Sony Style stores and sonystyle.com. The lounge is located in the posh penthouse of the Bryant Park Hotel right across from the famous fashion week tents (check out the views) and is open during the entire week for the press and bloggers to come and relax, grab a bite to eat and write their stories.
It’s a perfect melding of beautiful people with beautiful PCs as the Signature Collection series come in eye popping colors and unique finishes like Crocodile Brown. The VAIOs are set up throughout the space with wireless connectivity to allow the journalists to find a comfortable spot amoung the fashionable decor to file their stories.
One blogger I spoke with said “these PCs are absolutely beautiful and I definitely want one.”
Even, if you don’t live in New York, you can still look the part and enjoy a little piece of Fashion Week. Sony Style is giving away a coupon code for a free gold clutch carrying case ($89.99 value) with a purchase of any new P series VAIO notebook. Simply place both the P series VAIO notebook and clutch case into the cart and then enter the code: VAIOFASHIONWEEK09 during checkout. (Some restrictions do apply so check below for those details.)
