I have recently purchased a sony vaio laptop, however i have just tried to use my seagate external hard drive (freeagent go) and my laptop doesnt seem to recognise it or pick it up. It works fine on my previous toshiba laptop.
The light comes on on the external hardrive when i plug it in to the usb port but then fades (so im assuming the seagate works fine).
how do i overcome this problem?
    Thanks
