    purchased a vaio laptop on Christmas Eve for my son Dec 2011. Called on October 15th for support. not charging and turns off as soon as it is turned on . Was told without a recipt can’t be covered by warranty. Why is the rep insisting it could have been manufactured as early as June 11 when it has a manufactured 11-11 sticker riight on the back. Was registered on 12-25-11. Why does your e-mail that was sent confriming registration not state that warranty is null and void w/o receipt? I am so upset that a company as big as yours can’t be upfront and honest. You have a record of the call log and October was the first call. We have been affected by hurricane Sandy and I have many things I could do with the money it will cost to replace this computer. It is neccessary as my son is a first year teacher. Please do the right thing. Your serial number tells you when it was manufactured. Other electronic companies will use the registration date. Not ask for a receipt so much after purchase.It should say that on the email confriming registration. His cal logs can be found by your reps. I work hard for my money and don’t have the money to replace. I should not have to replace. Sony should do the proper thing and honor the warranty Thanks for the Video Steve. It just frustrates me more.
