Whether it’s a football team, siding with a celebrity or hoping that a vampire wins over a werewolf – team spirit can be found just about anywhere. In celebration of the recently launched Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 phone in the US, Sony Style retail stores are joining in on the fun.
Beginning September 4th, you might start to see our store staff outfitted in some cool “Team” tees. Now you can guess what “Team” we’re fans of by the t-shirt design :-)
If you like showing your team spirit, you can join in by snagging yourself a free t-shirt. Each week during the month of September, we’ll be posting a unique code name to our readers. You’ll also be able to find the code by following us on Twitter or on Facebook. Come that Saturday (Sept 9th, 11th, 18th and 25th), visit your local Sony Style store, walk up to a staff member and tell them that week’s secret code. If you’re one of the first (15) people, they’ll give you the t-shirt off their back. Well not exactly but they will give you one that looks just like it. Quantities are limited and there’s a limit of one t-shirt per customer so be sure to get there early because I’m guessing they will run out fast. Read till the end of the blog to get this week’s code.
Let’s say you missed out but plan to buy an X10. Not to worry. Each Saturday during September, the first (25) customers to purchase the Xperia X10 at a Sony Style store will also get a free shirt. You can wear it or hold onto it and give it as a gift to a fellow Android phone fan.
With the X10 being an Android phone, owners take advantage of apps in Google’s Android Market™ plus the phone comes pre-loaded with two signature apps exclusively from Sony Ericsson: Mediascape and Timescape™. And for our ultimate Android phone fans,it t does already have many of the features out with Éclair and Froyo such as native EAS support, built-in speech to text, email folders, 2-way calendar sync, GAL, password # failed attempt, and local/remote device wipe. According to the Sony Ericsson website, you can expect an OS update in select global markets later this year.
Okay everyone – its t-shirt time. If you’re in a Sony Style store this Saturday, the secret code is X10. If you get a shirt, send me a photo and I’ll feature you on our blog plus send you an additional t-shirt for a pal.

Mediascape on the x10 looks pretty neat… it’s cool to see you guys doing a couple of things to differentiate among the other Android offerings.
I don’t know if you’re still offering the second shirt for sending a photo in but I have a couple of FANdroids would will arm wrestle each other for the chance to have the much coveted “Team Android” shirt. The shirt ROCKS!
