Sony Electronics (SEL) has outlined a new internal structure for its U.S. organization, which includes the strategic direction, responsibilities and reporting structure of the Corporate Communications team.
The communications team has been reduced into three key components: corporate public relations, social media, and product public relations.
I will lead the corporate PR team, in charge of communications at the corporate level, including SEL cross-category initiatives as well as consumer events such as CES. This team will also handle employee, dealer and executive communications.
The social media team – led by Gina Campbell –will promote Sony products and services directly to consumers, bloggers and influencers through direct consumer engagement.
Product public relations will report directly to individual business groups, supporting market communications efforts for our product groups for the U.S. market. Matt Parnell will oversee all of digital imaging, Maya Wasserman will oversee our home entertainment and sound products and services and Tom Di Nome will continue to lead our professional and B2B products and services.
Carla Crossan will support each member of the team with product loan logistics as well as product images.
These changes are immediate with full integration occurring April 1.
