I don’t know about you but I get hungry each time I see an amazing food photo. Taking gourmet shots is growing across the globe and not just by food critics and bloggers. Sites like foodspotting.com are popping up fostering a community of tasty shots (and some not so tasty). It’s not only sparking an entire audience of hungry enthusiasts, it’s also helping every day eaters like ourselves figure out where we want to eat out. Or not eat out.
Now if you’re considering taking a couple of photos yourself or just curious about how its done in cookbooks and blogs, the SGNL team with put together a really fun how to video. They got a little help from professional food photographer and food blogger Marc Matsumoto. He shows us how to take pictures of food regardless of what gadget you have. DSLR, point and shoot camera or phone. Thanks Marc!
So snap away and if you have any great food picture taking tips to share, be sure to pass them along.

Marc, congrats on this piece! It is always helpful to get more food photography tips! Gwen
