Happy New Year everyone! We’ve survived the holidays! With family gatherings and travel safely behind us, we at Sony are gearing up for the biggest event of our year. The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas gets underway this Wednesday, January 5th-9th. If you saw some of the early photos we posted on the Sony Electronics Facebook page, then you know it’s a giant undertaking. The Sony booth is traditionally one of the largest spaces on the show floor with almost every aspect of our consumer products and services represented. This year is no different!
If you’ll be at CES, stop by the Sony Electronics booth #14200. I expect Sony will once again be a favorite among CES attendees. For gadget and technology fans who can’t make it, we will bring you there virtually. This year we will once again stream our press event LIVE. Last year, you told us overwhelmingly that you liked the live access to this event, usually reserved for press, so we’re doing it again and this year we’re also bringing you a live video Q & A immediately after the show with Senior Vice President, Mike Abary. Send your questions during and after the show via a comment on our blog or via Twitter to @SonyElectronic. I’ll be manning the blogosphere looking for your questions for Mike. Tech reporter Mario Armstrong and I will host the live show and are looking forward to giving you this first of it a kind access to Sony.
This year the crew at SGNL by Sony will also be there. They’re working hard to bring you first hand and hands-on view of all the products as well as special interviews and product announcements.

In the 2nd generation intel i5, i7, series, I don’t understand the difference between a laptop with quad core or dual core. Can you tell me? When will they be available on Vaios?

All great products coming out. Too bad it seems yet again you fail to support your current customers. Why bother buying your new products when it is apparent you won’t support them after purchase. Android 2.3 for Arc with the same specs as X10 yet you are not going to give a 1 year old phone an essential update. Just plain sad if you ask me.
