We wanted to share a video with you that has been gaining some steam here at Sony. It was produced by Sony Electronics staffer, Justin Allen. Justin, member of Sony’s Retail Execution Team, whose day job includes working on Sony’s business to business programs, was asked by our communications team to attend the Sony 3D launch event in June in Culver City, Calif. to share his experience with employees.
His video called “Sony 3D is Cool” has been such a hit with staff, we thought it should be shared.
Justin fearlessly roamed the event with his Sony Handcam. He captured about three hours of footage and then worked with fellow Sony employee Phil Jones to edit together a Sony-celebrity filled video with a bumping tune and a new signature move.
What’s the move? We’ll it’s forefinger to thumb and three fingers in the air. Do you know what that represents? Sony 3D!!! Justin says he thought of the 3D move while sitting in horrendous LA traffic while driving up from San Diego.
While on the Sony Pictures lot he explained his concept to event attendees, Sony employees and just passers-by who were more than happy to participate. If you’re a Sony geek, you’ll be able to spot the Sony execs in the video…some even stopped for a second to do the “move”.
We hope you enjoy the video and if you decide to try the 3D move, Justin has some advice, “make sure you use your left hand while facing a camera.” Pretty simple, so if you’re so inspired after watching Justin’s video… do the move and send us a photo or video.

Cool video. Cool move. 3D is clearly the future.
