We know your tablet can be many things to you and the experience has a lot to do with the apps you choose. Want to use your tablet for multi-player gaming, to collaborate with a team around the globe on multimedia projects while you video chat or do you want to update your Netflix queue on the go in the most simple and easy way? You can do any of these things thanks to apps created using the Adobe® Air® platform.
Last week at the Adobe MAX conference, a yearly gathering of designers, developers and people interested in learning all things Adobe, we had a chance to meet some of the people making hot new apps for the Sony Tablet™. Check out this quick overview of 5 of the top apps that are part of the Adobe® Air® App Challenge, Sponsored by Sony. These folks are competing for a cash prize by creating fantastic apps for the Sony Tablet S and P and they’re apps that could change the way you use the device.

Here is more info and links on the apps showcased in our video:
Age of Defender (coming soon): Protect your base and conquer your opponents in this multiplayer tower defense game. Sony Tablet P fans, keep your eyes peeled for a version of the app that allows two players to use a single Sony Tablet P to play.

Studiopass: Share and collaborate real-time, with this cloud based tool for visual media professional. We saw a demo of real time editing on a video project as well as markup on a PDF done by team members from around the world. Great tool for working with a group cross platform.

SylvestersBand: This interactive book for children has over 35 pages that will make your heart melt. The sounds and visuals are adorable and the all the extra things you can do on screen will keep you hooked no matter your age.

TweetHunt (coming soon): Picture Angry Birds meets your Twitter stream. This shooting gallery game lets you turn reading your Tweets from Twitter into a fun game. Check out the celebrity mode for an interesting way to keep up with your favorite stars Twitter updates.

Conveyor: Race against the clock to score points by creating words with this addictive word game. You’re racing the clock while all the while flexing your brain to come up with words before the letters fall off the conveyor belt. Scrabble fans will go nuts over this app.

QueueManager: Movie buffs and TV show addicts will appreciate the easy way to connect, browse, search and manage your Netflix Queue. This app was developed by a self-proclaimed movie addict to help him do what he loves, watch more movies! If you’re into Netflix, this app is a great tool.
A total of ten apps were showcased at Adobe Max.

Check out the Adobe Blog for more info about these apps and about the challenge. We’ll continue to showcase cool apps here on the Sony blog and if you’re interested in finding out which app wins the Adobe Air App Challenge, stay tuned, the winner will be announced on November 17.
