From retail and transportation solutions to dome and hybrid cameras, Sony Security products were on full display at the 2013 ASIS International Show. With the technology demonstration rooms at the booth, visitors could see Sony security solutions in real world environments.
If you walked onto the show floor from the south entrance to the Sony booth, you had a chance to see a highlight of the show: the new IPELA CLOUD video surveillance solution from Sony and Next Level Security Systems. The IPELA CLOUD solution reduces substantial bandwidth costs by leveraging peer-to-peer technology from Next Level.
Right behind the IPELA CLOUD station were the new IPELA ENGINE cameras including the 360 degree hemispheric-view mini dome IP camera (SNC-HM662), PRO W, and EX C and X Series cameras. The SNC-HM662 makes it possible for users to have five megapixel (MP), high-resolution video and a 360-degree view of an area with just one camera. The new PRO W Series cameras are the most advanced rapid dome cameras in the security industry, with all four featuring the highest-rated optical zoom, fastest pan speed, highest frame rate and widest dynamic range of any full HD camera on the market. Meanwhile 3 of the new X Series cameras represent Sony’s first ruggedized IP cameras with image stabilization technology and a built-in microphone that make them ideal for use on board transportation vehicles such as buses and trains.
Then there was a seating area where visitors could see an overview stage presentation every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour. Transportation solutions were displayed to the right of the stage area, and behind the stage presentation were the 3 technology demonstration rooms, showing Sony security solutions in real world environments.
Rounding out the booth were the retail, scalable management, and IPELA ENGINE EX IP V Series and E Series camera solutions. For more information on all of the security products that Sony has to offer visit our site at sony.com/security.
