“Attendance was great this year, and everyone was really excited to see our latest radiology displays,” said Sony Medical marketing manager Lida Trupp, describing Sony’s experience at the 2013 Association for Medical Imaging Management (AHRA) show this week.
Sony had its LMD-DM line of radiology displays in its AHRA booth, plus the award winning high-definition OLED display, recently 510k approved for use in surgery. Attendees had a chance to experience first-hand this unique technology that’s designed to re-shape the medical industry.
With 5MP, 3MP, and 2MP high-luminance and high-contrast models, the radiology displays at AHRA demonstrated clear imaging for critical diagnoses. Attendees were visibly impressed with the Independent Sub-Pixel-Drive technology that allows a monitor to achieve 3 times its resolution. So for example, a 5MP monitor with this technology can actually deliver up to 15 MP.
The Sony booth was also about more than products, however, as Sony demonstrated how it stands behind its technology.
Two new 5-year service programs were unveiled: Sony’s Advanced Exchange Program, which provides a replacement monitor to customers within 24-hours at no cost; and an On-Time Support Advanced Loaner Program, which provides telephone technical support and a new or refurbished unit until Sony returns the original unit to the customer.
Trupp noted that this type of program is “especially important for customers who need to keep the originally purchased monitor for accounting purposes.”
In addition, Sony announced at AHRA that any customer who purchases a Sony radiology display from July 28 to August 30, 2013 can receive 24-hour Optimum Service at no additional cost, backed by Sony.
From innovation to service, Sony showed at AHRA that it has everything covered for any medical technology need.
Throughout 2013, Sony will continue demonstrating its radiology technology at industry events, so check back often for updates. For more information on the complete line of Sony products for the radiology market, visit www.sony.com/radiology.
