Win a Sony Internet TV

by Team Sony 10/04/2010

By now you’ve surely heard the rumors about Sony Internet TV with Google TV. You know—the first HDTV powered by the Google TV platform so you can watch TV and surf the Internet simultaneously. It’s a multitasker’s dream device.  We’re getting close to launch and to get you pumped we’re giving away 5 Sony Internet TVs to 5 lucky winners over the next 5 days.

How can you enter? Simple, you have 2 ways to participate. Send a tweet to @SonyElectronics letting us know how you multitask using media and include #sonyinternettv in the tweet.  Not on Twitter? No problem. Leave a comment to this blog post, following the same rules and you’ll be entered too.  We know 140 characters isn’t much, but be creative and feel free to use things like pictures and video.

Our panel of judges includes Chris Pirillo, Jon Rettinger and Toby Turner. They are powerhouses when it comes to creating shows online and reaching fans with their blogs. Need some inspiration on what to “Tweet”? We asked Toby Turner, AKA Tobuscus to help. Watch his video, be inspired and send us your entry! We can’t wait to begin announcing the winners! Good luck!

Now for the legal stuff. You’ll find the official rules below.

    I multitask through media by leveraging the connectivity and productivity that it affords. I could be writing an email while in the background, alerts notify me through my social and professional contacts either via IM or other social networks (e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn) and media-rich contents such as news through the Internet provides me with the necessary information that I need to leverage my productivity.

    I connect my Macbook to an external to do homework on one screen, browse the internet (youtube, blogs, facebook) on the other, play my ipod touch on my Bose Ipod player, while texting or talking on my Samsung Rogue. Or sometimes I connect my Macbook to the TV to watch a movie, but it is a hassle to because I can’t use my Macbook while watching a movie on it. @SonyElectronics

    @SonyElectronics,
    I multi-task in many ways. Sometimes I’m playing COD Modern Warfare 2 online on my PS3 with some friend and listening to music. While one ear is listening to music the other is listening to the players trash talk through my sony PS3 headset. While I’m doing that I have my laptop next to me just in case new youtube videos come out. Next to my youtube tab and my Pandora tab I have a facebook tab. Next to me is also my blackberry just in case I get a call or a text. Next to my blackberry is my ipod touch. Talking to my girlfriend when she comes to my room is also another task. Don’t want her to feel ignored :-). When I’m done playing I can watch tv or a movie on netfix. Last but now least, why stop to go eat in the dinning room when I can eat in my room where all the entertainment is. If thats not multi-tasking I don’t know what is.
