Win a Sony Internet TV

by Team Sony 10/04/2010

By now you’ve surely heard the rumors about Sony Internet TV with Google TV. You know—the first HDTV powered by the Google TV platform so you can watch TV and surf the Internet simultaneously. It’s a multitasker’s dream device.  We’re getting close to launch and to get you pumped we’re giving away 5 Sony Internet TVs to 5 lucky winners over the next 5 days.

How can you enter? Simple, you have 2 ways to participate. Send a tweet to @SonyElectronics letting us know how you multitask using media and include #sonyinternettv in the tweet.  Not on Twitter? No problem. Leave a comment to this blog post, following the same rules and you’ll be entered too.  We know 140 characters isn’t much, but be creative and feel free to use things like pictures and video.

Our panel of judges includes Chris Pirillo, Jon Rettinger and Toby Turner. They are powerhouses when it comes to creating shows online and reaching fans with their blogs. Need some inspiration on what to “Tweet”? We asked Toby Turner, AKA Tobuscus to help. Watch his video, be inspired and send us your entry! We can’t wait to begin announcing the winners! Good luck!

Now for the legal stuff. You’ll find the official rules below.

I legitimately ride my unicycle while listening to music and texting… On a treadmill… While watching a movie and checking the time.

Sony tv would accomplish almost all of the above… Except for the unicycle… :)

We have to interact so I can tell him how his buddy the cat “Jazz”, is handling his separation anxiety. He sits in the window and wails into the night air because his buddy has returned to school and he misses him.

My media multi-tasking is a laptop in my lap, my Sony TV on and my cellphone which is internet capable also at the ready. I feel like I am watching a dozen tennis matches with my eyes jumping to each screen. Do you think they will stick that way?

“Who’s that actress and where have I seen her before, honey?”, my pestering wife frequently inquires, seeming deliberate in her decision to bother me at the climax of the season premiere of Glee – of course… not that I like that show or anything. However, with the new Sony Internet TV I would just type in a relevant query into the search bar and presto! My petulant wife sees that Jane Lynch was indeed that sarcastic therapist on Two and a Half Men. No more crotchety pestering distracting me now… at least when we’re watching television.

I multitask by watching my TV which is located in the same room as my PS3 and Computer. While I watch shows/movies on TV, I listen to music with 1 headphone in 1 ear, while playing League of Legends on my Computer, whilst alt+tab’ing to view messages from MSN and talking through skype to my friends while simultaneously answering text messages from my 2 phones. And talking to my mom who occasionally comes into my room. During advertisements on TV, I change the channel to my PS3′s HDMI port and unpause the game where I left off. I also drink Iced Tea while doing all of this because my throat is parched form it. And I breathe occasionally as well as doing my work somewhere in between.
